How did you start on your spiritual path?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 15, 2008:

I have to say that I have always been drawn to it. Even when I did not know what it was. When I was younger I did not understand why I thought of certain things nor had knowledge I had not learned in school or why I was curious about the human heart and condition of the world.

I recently moved and found several papers I had written in grade school about astrology, about how the solution to World peace is that each person must first love themselves, that it begins within ourselves and another on a robot machine teacher - we are talking the 70's here! I also remembered a project I did on solar power - my mom helped me build a model of a solar house with panels on the roof and all!

In my teens I got a job selling jewellery with a woman who worked with semi-precious stones and learned about the power and energy of stones and in the early 90's began to learn about and work with aromatherapy. It was around that time I met my friend Jane who was making beeswax candles and selling them at craft shows but I could feel she was a healer and had much more power to heal within her. She now has a very successful company selling aroma crystal products which incorporate both aromatherapy and vibrational healing properties.

In addition to all the above I took a course on "Death & Dying in other Cultures" which lead to me writing an essay on death within life caused by abuse & rebirth through healing. Something about the paper resonated with my prof who recommended I read "The Courage to Heal" and I was off on a guided spiritual and healing journey.

Many more interesting adventures, encounters with healers and others on the path and learning opportunities later and here I am.

How interesting to write all this down. I love the daily questions and reflections.
